JCU expects educators to continuously refine their expertise in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment methodologies, diverse modes of delivery, and understanding student needs.
In pursuit of this goal, the Centre of Education and Enhancement hosts a variety of informative workshops and symposiums throughout the year, complemented by our Foundations of Teaching for University Educators (FoT4UE) suite of online modules.
Foundations of Teaching for University Educators (FoT4UE)
Aimed to enhance your capabilities in:
Creating inclusive, technologically advanced, and engaging multimodal learning experiences that prioritise safety and responsiveness, drawing from scholarly research and aligning with relevant legal standards.
Engaging in critical self-reflection to refine personal, interpersonal, professional, and organisational practices within inclusive tertiary educational settings.
Designing assessment strategies that are constructively aligned, valid, reliable, equitable, transparent, authentic, feedback-focused, and promote assessment security and academic integrity.
Evaluating curriculum design, teaching and assessment practices to foster student-centred learning for diverse learner cohorts.
Covering topics, such as:
