Dr Kym Davis (DBA, MMNT, PGCert -Business) is a skilled leader with a broad range of experience in the business sector, including 15 years in the Higher Education sector. Kym is an adjunct with the College of Business, Law and Governance,  lectures in postgraduate studies at the University of Southern Queensland, and works with Smart Precinct NQ (SPNQ) a not-for-profit in Townsville. SPNQ is a springboard for collaboration, learning and growth through a range of start-up accelerators and incubator programs, business growth advisory services, investment support and events.  Passionate about Northern Australia and our place in the tropics Kym is a strong advocate and supporter of CITBA and works collaboratively with stakeholders to advance our goals and objectives.

Dr Lydia Canovas Saiz is an Economist with an MEI and a PhD specialised in innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment operations. She boasts over 15 years of experience in initiating and managing businesses, collaborating with entrepreneurs and investors across Europe and Australia. Presently, she serves as a Senior Growth Advisor for Smart Precinct NQ, an innovation hub situated in North Queensland, Australia, committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across the region. In this capacity, she conducts mentoring sessions sponsored by the Townsville City Council, oversees the QLD Circular Economy Industry & Research Program by DESI, coordinates investor introductions and pitch events, designs and delivers workshops and accelerator programs such as Dare To Think Big and Dare To Think Circular, and heads the Founders Advisory Board, providing peer-to-peer support.
