To be eligible for accreditation with Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA Australia) and/or the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) students must complete the Accounting major as well as 18 credit points consisting of the following subjects:

Supplementary exam for final subject

A candidate who has failed the final subject towards the degree and who gained 40% or more of the marks for that subject, may be granted a supplementary examination in that subject

Advanced Standing

Eligibility

Candidates may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing for Previous Studies and Recognised Prior Learnin g policy associated procedures.

Currency

Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course

Expiry

Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 12 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed the course of study prescribed for the degree

Other restrictions

A maximum of 9 credit points of advanced standing may be granted at level 3

Exit with lesser award

Candidates who exit the course prior to completion, and have completed 24 credit points of study and appropriate subjects, may be eligible to receive the award of Diploma of Business
