Award Requirements

Course pre-requisites	Completion of a pass degree in the Creative Arts with a GPA of 5.0 or higher: or Other qualifications recognised by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts as equivalent to the above. Entry requirements for this course are consistent with the Pathways to Qualifications in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Guidelines for Bachelor degrees.
Additional selection requirements	Submit proposal to Honours coordinator by November 30 of the year preceding the study.
Post admission requirements	For flexible delivery option, computer and internet access is required.
Minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements	Students of non English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System. An IELTS score of 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 is required (Band 1 at JCU). Students scoring below this may be offered up to six months intensive language training prior to admission to the course.

Currency	Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 5 years prior to the commencement of this course.
Expiry	Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 10 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed the course.
Other restrictions	A maximum of 9 credit points of advanced standing may be granted at level 3.
