Description

This rainforest tree also occurs in New Guinea. It has opposite dark green leaves, size ranges from 7-14 cm long; lateral veins widely spaced. The white flowers with numerous stamens are borne on special lateral branches to 8 cm long. These are followed by pink to red globular to depressed globular berries to about 4 cm diameter but usually about 2-3 cm diameter. Flowering summer.
