Description

This rainforest shrub grows to about 6 m tall, occasionally more; leaves are simple and opposite. It is spectacular when flowering as it bears numerous clusters of tubular flowers along the trunk and branches. The sepals are white to cream and up to 4 cm long. The flowers are followed by fleshy, red, egg-shaped fruits. This plant can be found adjacent to Crowther lecture theatre.
