Description

This attractive tree to about 10 m tall is native to S.E. Asia. It is fast growing and tolerates a wide-range of environmental conditions. The leaves are opposite and glossy green. The inflorescence is stout and 4-angled, flowers with 4 petals, stamens white to creamy-white to 4 cm long. The yellowish fruits are up to 6 cm long and 3-4 cm wide, flesh smells and tastes like rose water, edible.
