The issue of consent is often prominent in negligence claims and is the underpinning factor in many complaints received by Dental Protection. This lecture will explore what consent is, what it is not, how to discuss consent with a patient, and how to document that valid consent is in place.
Key learning outcomes:
- Understand valid consent – what it means, what it is and is not, and why it matters.
- Better recognise when valid consent may not be in place.
- Ways to document consent
This event is designed for dental practitioners, dental students and all other interested healthcare professionals. Attendance at this event will provide one CPD point.
