About the Event
Join us for an insightful presentation by Stephen Grace, drawing on over a decade of experience in Homelessness Law, as he delves into the everyday legal challenges faced by Queenslanders experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Discover how targeted, trauma-informed legal representation is making a difference for priority groups, including women and families affected by violence, children, young people and individuals exiting prison. Stephen will share how community and pro bono lawyers can collaborate with allied-health professionals to deliver holistic, wrap-around support to those in complex circumstances. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how legal services can be a powerful tool in preventing and ending homelessness.
About the Presenter
Stephen Grace is the Director of LawRight’s Community & Health Justice | Homelessness Law and Multicultural Law program and has over ten years’ experience in multidisciplinary, embedded community legal services. Prior to being appointed to his current role, Steve spent a combined 6 years as the manager of LawRight’s Homelessness Law and Justice Connect’s Homeless Law programs. While working in Cairns, Steve was a casual academic with James Cook University. He believes passionately in the holistic benefits of integrated, client-centred health and legal services, and is a co-Chair of the With You National Legal Assistance Sector Trauma-Informed Community of Practice.
