New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility Grants provide financial support for Australian undergraduate students to participate in study tours, short learning intensives or semester-long study, internships, mentorships, practicums and research in 40 host locations across the Indo-Pacific region.
JCU periodically coordinates group learning opportunities for students to participate in, with access to funding through the grant program.
Eligible students each receive a grant to contribute to the cost of international travel and in-country living expenses during the project. The actual amount offered may vary depending on the relative costs of the host location, the nature of the mobility project and other considerations.
All supported study must provide credits towards participating students’ degrees.
Access the JCU Global Experience study portal for details on available New Colombo Plan Mobility Grants.

It involves a scholarship program for study of up to one year and internships or mentorships as well as flexible mobility grants for both short and longer-term study, internships, mentorships, practicums and research.
The New Colombo Plan is intended to deepen Australia's relationships across the Indo-Pacific, both at the individual level and through expanding university, business and other links.
Visit the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan website learn more about the program's history and strategic importance.
