Anne Deane Prize for English Literature

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1995 by Mr Alan Deane in memory of Anne Deane, a former student of English at this University and a noted contributor to the development of radio and television. The prize of $100 is Awarded to the College of Arts, Society and Education student enrolled in level 1 English for the first time whose work exhibits the most improvement from the commencement to the conclusion of the level 1 English subject as judged by the subject coordinator.
