History of the prize

The prize was originally founded in 1997 as a Medal awarded to the top student in the Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. In 2018 the course being recognised was changed to the graduating student in the Graduate Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene or Graduate Diploma in Public Health & Tropical Medicine who has demonstrated the best overall performance. The prize is maintained by the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine.

Prize Information

Awarded to the graduating College of Public Health, Medical and Vet Sciences student enrolled in either the Graduate Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene or the Graduate Diploma in Public Health & Tropical Medicine, who has demonstrated the best overall performance.
