Emeritus Professor Richard Pearson Prize in 3rd Year Ecology

History of the prize

Emeritus Professor Richard Pearson was a supportive and nurturing head of the zoology and ecology group at JCU for many years. A self-proclaimed eclectic ecologist, his interests lie in freshwater systems and terrestrial vertebrates. Richard has remained actively engaged with zoology and ecology staff and research and achievements at JCU and across the field since his retirement. This prize honours his commitment to the field of ecology, and to JCUs group of ecologists.
