Ron Sussex Prize

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1987 with an endowment through public subscription, to commemorate the services rendered to French in the community and the University from 1971 to 1979 by its first Professor of French, Ron Sussex. To the graduating student with a major/specialisation in French who is deemed to have achieved the best overall performance and shown a strong commitment towards their French language studies.
