Glencore is proudly sponsoring the “Glencore Loggerhead Project” with a $150,000 sponsorship over three years. This collaboration between Glencore and the Turtle Health Research Centre has allowed us to renovate our facility and give the turtles even better five star accommodation and care.
With Glencore’s support, we are able to purchase food and equipment, which allows us more time to focus on publishing quality research. Once the turtles reach a certain size, they will be fitted with satellite trackers and released onto the Great Barrier Reef where we will track their movements to see where they go.
