Taxation

Policy

  • The University must ensure that it complies with the relevant Federal, State and Local Government taxation laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • The Financial Delegate, prior to entering into a tax related transaction, must obtain the appropriate advice and/or documentation to ensure compliance with the applicable taxation legislation.

  • The Chief Financial Officer must ensure compliance with  Fringe Benefits Tax and Goods and Services Tax reporting requirements.

  • The Director, Human Resources Management must ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State taxation reporting requirements in respect of employment related liabilities

  • All documentation for taxation purposes must be retained and must comply with FMPM 930: Policy – Document Retention.
