Mandatory Research Integrity Training

James Cook University provides mandatory training and education for anyone who conducts or assists with the conduct of research under JCU’s auspices. The mandatory training modules for the JCU Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research are provided through the Staff Learning Hub, where there is a course called Research Integrity Training.

There are two compulsory eLearning modules within this course that must be completed by JCU research staff:

  • Research Integrity Compulsory Module 1 “The Responsible Conduct of Research”
  • Research Integrity Compulsory Module 2 “When things go wrong – Breaches of the Code”

Once the modules and quizzes are complete, the policy and procedure acknowledgement must also be completed.

Researchers are required to fulfill their obligations under the JCU Research Code in relation to training and education and should complete the other modules in the research integrity series. These further modules are expected to be available in the Staff Learning Hub in March 2025. If you require access to complete these sooner, contact researchintegrity@jcu.edu.au.
